The VMAs and Twitter presented a grand vision with a rigorous technical challenge. They wanted a booth onsite at the VMAs where attending artists would be able to respond to Tweets from fans across the globe. The catch? Fan Tweets were in foreign languages, and they needed to be collected, translated to English in real time, and animated so the artists could react live, connecting fans across the globe directly to their favorite artists. 
Role: Graphics Lead, Motion Designer
As graphics lead, I owned the process of receiving fan Tweets and rendering them into video files that the artists would view on 4 LED pillars. Several hundred Tweets had to be rendered in the span of a few days and we were able to keep pace by making use of a spreadsheet to After Effects workflow.
